Chris Roussel
organizes trainings sessions of 5 days approachable
to all, beginners as confirmed. Chris will teach you,
by the rule book, the ways to manufacture, restore and
relook pieces of furniture and objects of decoration.
Chris will initiate you in the techniques of sheen
on various supports or mediums that he will put at
your disposal according to your taste (pedestal table,
coat of arms, angel, frame, casket, tray), in the
sculpture on wood, in the gilding etc.
Chris's Workshop is a space of meetings, exchanges
and transfers of knowledge notably in history of art
and French styles (particularly of the XVIIIth century).
The techniques which are taught with good mood, as
well as a diligent practice, will allow you to find
your own style and to give body to your plans.
The Workshop is also a place where mix passionate
people of any ages who share their enthusiasm and
who weaved strong and lasting bonds, in the course
of the years of life of the Workshop.
As part of his trainings
(compounds of a maximum of eight pupils), Chris tries
first of all to fit to each pupil to allow him to acquire
the foundations of the techniques of cabinet making
and restoration which will be necessary for him to accomplish,
transform or restore the object or the piece of furniture
that he has chosen. According to wishes or aptitude
which he discerns, Chris will offer the study of new
know-hows sometimes unknown to the pupils.
